Selecting your retirement age

The Plans normal retirement age is age 62. If you want to select a different retirement age please confirm your selected retirement age below. This can be at any age between the ages of 55 and 75.

Your member contributions

The minimum amount of contributions you must pay to be a member of the Plan is 2.5%.

The maximum contributions that you can pay are as follows:

Under age 30 - 5%
Between age 30 - 44 - 6%
45 years and over - 8%

This is the maximum amount that Pearson will double your contributions. If you want to pay more you can, these are known as additional voluntary contributions (AVCs) but these will not be matched by Pearson.

Please select your monthly contribution rate, which is expressed as a percentage of your pensionable salary, from the box below.

Investment allocation

Your Pension Pot will automatically be invested in the drawdown lifecycle option which invests in a set range of funds.

Alternatively, if you feel confident managing your own funds, you can choose the self-select option which has a range of funds for you to invest in. You can do so by accessing the ‘Update investments’ function available on the Aviva membersite at www.Aviva.co.uk/membersite

To find out more about investments and what you can invest in, watch our animation on Investments then check out 'how my money grows' on the Pearson pension website.
