New data protection regulations

24 May 2018

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) becomes effective from 25 May and does not just affect The Pearson Pension Plan but all businesses that hold customer data. Any organisation that fails to meet the new guidelines will be subject to heavy fines from the regulator.

Put simply, GDPR is a new set of rules that will give you more control over your data.

Obviously, we already protect your privacy and your data to the highest standard. The only changes that you will notice in communication from us is that you will see a revised Data Privacy Clause reminding you of your rights. All our other procedures are in line with the new regulations. You will shortly be receiving more details via the post and you can find the full version of our Data Privacy Notice here.

You can be assured that we only collect the data we need to administer your pension both within the Pearson pension team and with approved suppliers such as Aviva and Capita.

If you require more information, you can contact us through a variety of channels, more information can be found through our contact us page.
